Fast-A-Thon
During the Muslim month of Ramadan, Muslims fast each day from sunrise to sunset. It is a time of spiritual purification, remembrance of God, and a reminder of daily blessings that are often taken for granted. In this spirit, we are raising money for the House of Bread, a food pantry right here in Dayton (five minutes away from UD) that serves hot meals to those in need.

Diversity Lecture Series: Juana Bordas
Inspirational speaker, author of Salsa, Soul and Spirit: Leadership for a Multicultural Age and president of Mestiza Leadership International, a company that helps businesses manage cultural differences in the workforce. Free and open to the public.

UD Arts Series: Water: Source and Resource
A lecture by Betsy Damon. A visual artist with an environmental perspective, Betsy Damon has documented sacred water sites in China and designed eco-sensitive spaces in America. Damon will share her perspective on her work and her mission — within the context of our region's own checkered relationship with the Great Miami River and its watershed. FREE.

IEP Tutor Training
Are you interested in meeting international students on campus? Do you have an hour a week to volunteer? Be a a tutor for the Intensive English Program! All UD students are welcome. Dr. Komp has been working professionally with solar since 1960. He has taught literally hundreds of workshops around the world (Nicaragua, Mali, Pakistan, and Haiti and soon Jamaica and Rwanda). His most current book is “Practical Photovoltaics”. Sponsored by ETHOS.

The exciting Hispanic Festival is back with HOT Latin music and delicious Latin food. The sounds of Salsa, Merengue, Mexico, Latin Jazz, Cumbia and Bachata music will come alive in the biggest fiesta in Downtown Dayton. Admission is FREE.
