October 2010 Education Abroad Fair at UD; begin accepting applications to the summer programs

Benefits to this cycle include:
  • more time during the academic year for faculty to develop proposals
  • earlier release of information to students on the first day of the new academic year providing more time to consider and plan for study abroad
  • more time to arrange details, particularly with partners overseas
  • ability to participate in external recruitment activities
  • time to recruit students from other schools if programs do not fill by UD students
  • better distribution of process throughout the year
  • enhanced ability to conduct long-range planning and develop stronger connections with the curriculum
