Fulbright Scholar Program

The Fulbright Program aims to bring a little more knowledge, a little more reason, and a little more compassion into world affairs and thereby to increase the chance that nations will learn at last to live in peace and friendship.” —J. William Fulbright

The Fulbright Program is an important resource for UD faculty and staff who want to internationalize the campus and curricular offerings. Despite fears about how to make it happen, several current faculty members have participated in the program and have grown in their research, interests, and passions. The University of Dayton supports your participation in the Fulbright Program, and there are several ways to do so. There are both short-term and long-term opportunities for those hoping to go abroad, as well as for those hoping to invite international scholars to campus. Please take a few moments to explore this website, as well as the Fulbright website, for information on how to incorporate the Fulbright Program in your plans.

In addition to participating in the Fulbright directly, faculty members are encouraged to seek opportunities to bring Fulbright Scholars to campus. If you are interested in welcoming a Fulbright Scholar to UD, or if you are interested in pursuing a Fulbright Scholarship, please contact Tina Manco for more information.
